View, Edit, and Add Product Data with Spec View

The Spec View tool allows you to view, edit, and add product data. You can also conduct common actions like copying, deleting, and exporting product data.

To view product data:

1. Open a specification PDF using the table of contents.

2. Click Product Data to switch to view product data rather than submittals.

   

Edit Product Data

To edit product data:

1. Click the three-dot More menu and select Edit.

   

2. Make changes and click Save to apply the changes.

Add Product Data

To add a submittal to a specification:

1. Click + Add item.

   

2. Enter all necessary information and click Add to finish.

Common Product Data Actions in Spec View

With a specification PDF selected, you can copy, delete, and export product data.

Use the Actions button to open a menu of actions and select the one you'd like.

• Copy: Allows you to copy one or more items of product data. You can either make a single copy or multiple copies.
• Delete: Deletes the selected product data from the specification PDF.
• Export: Downloads an XLSX file of the product data.
