Inventor Add-in
Informed Design for Inventor is compatible with Inventor 2024 and later versions. For installation instructions, please refer to the Inventor help documentation.
Revit Interoperability for Inventor must be installed when using the Informed Design add-in to publish Revit families.

After installing Inventor 2024 or later, take the following steps to set up Informed Design for Inventor to author and publish product models for use within Revit.
- Go to informeddesign.autodesk.com and log in using your Autodesk account credentials.
- Click on
in the title bar and choose Informed Design Add-in from the drop-down menu or go directly to the Informed Design Add-in for Inventor link
- Click on the Inventor tab.
- Select Download Add-in for your Inventor version year.
- Click on the downloaded file (e.g. Informed Design Add-In X.XX.X.X for Inventor XXXX.msi) to launch the Informed Design Add-In Setup Wizard.
Follow the installation Wizard instructions to complete the add-in installation process. Make sure Inventor is not currently running before installing this add-in.
Informed Design for Revit Add-In Installation
Informed Design for Revit is compatible with Revit 2024 and later versions. For installation instructions, please refer to Revit Installation help documentation.
After installing Revit 2024 or later, follow these steps to set up Informed Design to discover and design with published product models.
- Go to www.informeddesign.autodesk.com and login using your Autodesk account credentials.
- Click on in the title bar and choose Informed Design Add-in from the drop-down menu or go directly to the Informed Design Add-in for Revit link.
- Click on the Revit tab.
- Select Download Add-in for your Revit version year.
- Click on the downloaded file (e.g Informed Design Add-In X.X.X.X for Revit XXXX.msi) to launch the Informed Design Add-In Setup Wizard.
- Follow the installation Wizard instructions to complete the add-in installation process. Make sure Revit is not currently running before installing this add-in.
