KNOWN ISSUE WORKAROUND
Replace command sometimes fails to replace using another existing Variant and throws a message asking you to try again. Exit the Replace Command. Delete the Revit Family Cache created and managed by the Informed design add-in (i.e the folder and all files contained in C:\users<user name>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\MID\Revit\2024\CachedData). Then retry the Replace command.
Replace command sometimes hangs. Quit the command and try again on the same instance.
In the Insert dialog, after clicking on 'Insert' button, 'Successfully inserted variant' message shows up but nothing happens. Minimize the Insert dialog, The variant should be available for insertion.

What's New

Autodesk Sample Content:

  1. In the 'Insert' dialog, users have the option of selecting Informed Design sample products by enabling the 'Autodesk Sample Content' toggle.
  2. Users can then insert pre-existing variants, generate new variants, and generate outputs for them.

What's New

  • Improved RFA generation time in Revit
    • Users now have the option of generating variants faster by using their local Revit session.
    • In the Insert and Replace dialogs 'Select' tab, while a variant is generating, the Insert/Replace button will be enabled as soon as the Informed Design service has received the necessary data to build the variant. The Preview caption will update to “Generating RFA on APS. Click Insert/Replace for Local RFA Generation.”
    • Clicking the Insert/Replace button will generate the RFA using the local Revit session and the RFA will be ready for insertion/will be replaced as soon as it is generated locally (around 5-10 seconds).

What's New

  • In the Insert dialog, the 'Insert' button has been removed from the 'Configure' tab and insertion is now only possible from the 'Select' tab. This will ensure consistency across the Insert and Replace dialogs.

  1. Fixed a bug where variants table was not loading properly when variants were generating.
