Revit Add-in

The Autodesk Informed Design Add-in for Revit helps building designers to discover, configure, and place building components, directly inside Revit.

Building product and component manufacturers publish their configurable or static models to Autodesk Informed Design.

The Revit designer uses the Informed Design Add-in for Revit to discover suppliers’ content, select from pre-configured options, or generate new configurations within the manufacturer's allowable range.

Configuration options are defined by the publisher, ensuring that only manufacturable variations are generated. The desired variations are inserted into the Revit project as a Revit Family (.rfa) file.

When ready, the Revit user can automatically generate outputs from each Informed Design product, such as drawings, bill of materials, and neutral CAD files.
