To use the Autodesk ® BIM 360 TM Layout app for iOS, you must have a subscription to the BIM 360 web service.
Use the BIM 360 Layout mobile app with a total station to guide you to the exact location of points on the job site for field staking or verification.
To Install Mobile App
- Find the BIM 360 Layout mobile app on the iTunes® App Store.
- Sign in using your Autodesk ID and follow the links to download the mobile app.
To Sync Mobile App with Total Station
- Switch on the Total Station.
- In the mobile app, tap Settings
Wi-Fi and ensure a connection is available. - Open a model containing points Layout.
In the Layout module, a New Setup wizard will appear.
- Select Known Point or Resection and follow the instructions in the wizard to complete setup. This will include selecting control points and prism placement.
To Collect Points
- In the Layout module, tap an existing point to unselect.
The point becomes an as-built point.
- Move the prism to the point position as indicated by the app.
- In the As-Built box, click Collect.
To Sort or Filter Points
Open a model and tap Sort By or Filter and choose criteria.
