Graphics System (Autodesk or Basic)

  • Hardware Acceleration. When enabled, allows BIM 360 Glue to use hardware acceleration features in your video card.
  • High Fidelity Viewing. When the Autodesk graphics system is active, enables Screen Space Ambient Occlusion (SSAO) for a real-world ambient lighting effect. This option is recommended for advanced designs because it shows details more clearly. By default, this option is set to On. When a model view is being navigated, this effect is temporarily suspended

Viewer Cache

  • Max Size (MB)

Specify an upper limit on the size of your viewer's temporary storage.

  • Clear Cache

Remove all cached items from the model viewer.

Model Pre-Fetch (Beta)

When working on high-speed internet connections, pre-fetching reduces the time taken to open models and merged models.

  • Pre-Fetch Enabled

Check this option to pre-cache models on to your machine before opening. We recommend you use this option only when working on a high-speed internet connection.

  • Threads (1-25)

Specify the number of threads used to pre-fetch the model data. Running more threads can improve performance, but may take more system/network resources.

  • Max Size (MB)
  • Specify the upper limit on your pre-fetch model cache.
  • Clear Cache

Removes all items from the pre-fetch model cache.

  • Restore Defaults

Restore all options to their standard settings.

  • Cancel

Cancel your changes and return to the open model.

  • Save

    Saves changes to Options settings.
