To Work with Section Planes

To open the Sections tools, in the BIM 360 toolbar, click Views. Then click Add Section.

Move

  1. Click Planes.
  2. Click the Planes drop-down and select the plane to use, for example Top.

    This plane becomes the current plane.

  3. Do one of the following:
    • Drag the gizmo. If the move gizmo is not visible in the view, click Move.
    • Enter numerical values in the Position fields. The plane moves by the amount entered.

Rotate

  1. Click Planes.
  2. Click the Planes drop-down and select the plane to use, for example Top.

    This plane becomes the current plane.

  3. Click Rotate.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Enter numerical values into the Rotations fields.
    • Drag the gizmo.
