RFIs (Android)
Use your device to create and view project-level or document-level RFIs (Requests for Information) on specific 2D files and 3D models. For more information on RFI capabilities using the Android app, see Mobile Capabilities.
Create RFIs
Project members in the Manager role can create two types of RFI:
- RFIs associated with a specific document or model.
- Project-level RFIs not associated with a specific document or model.
Create an RFI on a document
- Tap to open a document.
- In the bottom toolbar, tap RFI.
- Tap a position on the document where the RFI should be located.
- Enter a title for the RFI.
- Type your question and, if necessary, enter a suggested answer.
- Tap under the Assigned to heading to select a project member to assign the RFI to.
- If required, add location details, a due date, co-reviewers, and a distribution list.
- Tap
to attach a photo.
- Click Create.
Create a project-level RFI
- Without a document opened, tap RFIs in the bottom toolbar.
- Click
.
- Enter a title for the RFI.
- Type your question and, if necessary, enter a suggested answer.
- Tap under the Assigned to heading to select a project member to assign the RFI to.
- If required, add location details, a due date, co-reviewers, and a distribution list.
- Tap
to attach a photo.
- Click Create.
View RFIs
View the status and activity of RFIs and add comments and photos, at both the project and document level.
Open a project, or a specific document or model within a project.
At the project level, tap
RFIs. In a document or model, tap
RFIs.
In the RFIs panel, tap an RFI to view its details.
Tip: You can filter RFIs by status, assignee, or due date.Tap the Activity tab to view the RFI history and any comments or attachments.
Tap in the Comment field to enter a comment.
You can directly mention users, roles, or companies in a comment to send them an email notification:
- In the Comment field, type '@' or tap
and start typing the name you want to address.
- Choose the name from the list of suggestions.
- Tap
to add the comment.
- In the Comment field, type '@' or tap
Show or Hide RFIs
Tap to open a document or model.
In the upper right, tap
.
In the Visibility panel at the bottom, toggle visibility on/off as needed.
Swipe to close the Visibility panel.
Tap X to dismiss.
Tip: On the viewer, tap a square pin to view RFIs associated with the document. Pin color corresponds to RFI status.
