To Migrate Part Catalogs

You can migrate part catalogs in a particular domain. In effect, this functionality lets you upgrade version and parameter information for existing part catalogs, ensuring that you are using the most updated catalog data.

  1. In AutoCAD MEP 2025 toolset, click Manage tabMEP Content panelMigrate Catalog.
Note: You can also enter CatalogMigrate at the command line.
  2. Note the prompt on the AutoCAD MEP 2025 toolset command line: Catalog Migrate [Cabletray/cOnduit/Duct/Mvpart/Pipe/All]
  3. Specify the catalogs to migrate, as follows:
If you want to migrate ... then ...
all of the catalogs type a (All), and press Enter.
the catalogs specified for a single domain (such as Pipe, Duct, MvPart) type the appropriate letter, and press Enter. (For example, to regenerate the catalogs specified for Pipe, type p.)

A progress bar displays the part number, total parts, and the affected catalog being upgraded. This command updates the version number and also integrates changes to connectors in the selected domain, such as connection engagement length, angle of deflection, and nominal size.

When the upgrade is completed, a report summarizes the results, including the number of errors, a list of the affected parts, and a link to the results file. The report also includes a link to a file that contains these details.

  4. Click OK, and press Enter to end the command.
Note: You can use the Redefine From Catalog command to update an existing drawing with the most current pipe fittings and MvParts.
