To customize the display of an object

  1. Select the object to edit. The appropriate contextual tab appears on the ribbon. Select Updates panel Object Graphics Edit.

Alternately, enter OBJECTGRAPHICSEDIT on the command line and select the object to edit.

  2. To zoom to the object, click Edit In PlaceGraphics panelZoom To.
  3. Add to, modify, or delete the graphics for the object.

For example, you might want to add linework to indicate an equipment pad and an access area for a chiller.

  4. To save the changes and exit, click Edit In PlaceEdits panelFinish. Otherwise, to discard the changes and exit, click Edit In Place: Graphics tabEdits panelCancel.

After making changes, you can save the changes and exit the Custom Display session. Alternatively, you can discard the changes before exiting to revert to the original state of the object.
