Subscriptions required to work with cloud models in Revit

Solution:

Workshared Cloud Models 

• Forma Design Collaboration (Formerly BIM Collaborate Pro)

  • The Revit Cloud Worksharing service is included as part of the Forma Design Collaboration subscription.
  • This component is required to open or edit workshared cloud models in Revit.
  • This component is not included in any other available subscriptions.

• Revit

  • The account signed into Revit needs to have both Revit and Forma Design Collaboration subscriptions assigned.
  • To get the subscriptions on the same account, work with the account admins to assign one subscription to the other account. For example, change the assignment of the Revit subscription to the account that has Forma Design Collaboration.

Note:

• This is a per-member subscription, so each member that would be working in Revit with cloud workshared models would need a seat of Forma Design Collaboration.

• Initiate a Workshared Model to Forma Data Management (Revit Cloud Worksharing)
• This would support various linking options: live, shared & consumed linking from external resources. For more information, refer to How to control the folder permissions of multiple companies when linking Revit Cloud Workshared Models in Autodesk Forma or BIM 360.

Non-Workshared Cloud Models 

• Revit

  • The Cloud Models for Revit service is included with the Revit subscription.
  • This component is required to open or edit non-workshared cloud models in Revit.
  • This subscription also includes Forma Data Management Essentials which provides access to BIM 360 Document Management and Forma Data Management (formerly Autodesk Docs)
    Note: This only includes Forma Data Management Essentials and not a full Forma Data Management subscription; therefore, there may be limitations on access to certain tools. Refer to Forma Data Management vs. Forma Data Management Essentials.
     

• Or Revit LT + Forma Data Management (Formerly Autodesk Docs)

  • The Cloud Models for Revit service is included with Revit LT subscription.
  • Access to BIM 360 Document Management or Forma Data Management is also required. This can be assigned by the cloud project admin, or provided by the member through Bring Your Own Subscription.
  • A Forma Data Management subscription can be purchased separately. It is also included with other subscriptions such as the Architecture, Engineering & Construction (AEC) Collection, Forma for Model Management (formerly Model Management Bundle), Forma Design Collaboration, and Forma Build.

Note:

• Upload a Non-Workshared Model to Forma Data Management (Cloud Models for Revit)
• This would support live linking of cloud models from external resources or the latest published linking through Desktop Connector.

Cloud Model Coordination/ Clash Coordination

• Model Management or Navisworks Manage Bundle:
  • Navisworks Manage Bundle—Includes Navisworks Manage along with Forma Data Management, Insight, Design Collaboration, and Model Coordination.
  • Model Management Bundle—Includes everything in the Navisworks Manage Bundle, plus Assemble, Tandem, and ReCap Pro.
  • These subscriptions are meant for cloud-based design collaboration and coordination tools used by reviewers and other non-authoring project participants.
  • They support setting up and managing cloud projects, producing or reviewing packages with design collaboration, performing clash detection through model coordination, and integrating Navisworks with Autodesk Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud, ACC).
