To Work with Task Categories or Task Types

Use task categories and task types to define and organize the tasks entered in a project.

You edit categories and types from the Task Categories tab of BIM 360 Field project administration. The Task Type preview shows the effect of your changes.

Create a Task Category

  1. Click Profile menu > Project Admin.
  2. Click Tasks.
  3. Under Task Categories, click Edit and enter the name of the new category.
  4. Click (+) Add to add the new category to the task type list.
  5. Click Done.

Delete a Task Category

  1. Highlight the category by clicking it. If task types are associated with the category, remove them before you delete.
  2. Click Delete.

Add a Task Type to a Category

  1. In the Task Categories menu, select a category.
  2. Under Types, enter a name for the type.
  3. Click (+) Add to add the new type to the types list.

Delete a Task Type

  1. Highlight the type by clicking it.
  2. Click Delete.
  3. Click OK to confirm the change.
