Insight Builder Navigation Basics
Learn the basics of navigating Insight Builder so you can quickly and easily access all the tools and information you need to get the most out of your Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) data.
Favorites
The Favorites page displays the analyses and dashboards marked as favorite. You can mark an analysis, a dashboard, or a shared folder as a favorite to make it easy to find. To do so, click the star at the bottom of the tile representing this analysis or dashboard.

The Recent page displays the analyses and dashboards viewed in the last days.

The My folders page allows you to create folders where you can keep your analyses, dashboards, and other relevant data.
Click New Folder in the top right corner of the page to create a folder. You'll be prompted to enter a name for your folder.
Shared folders
The Shared folders page shows folders shared with other users. Shared folders help organize work and simplify the sharing of important information among multiple users or user groups. The information on this page includes folder name, owner, and the date each folder was last modified.
- Click a relevant folder to view datasets associated with that folder.
- Use the More menu
on the right of each dataset to add it to the desired folder and, optionally, remove from a folder, see recent snapshots, and delete a folder.
Dashboards
The Dashboards page displays available dashboards.
Click the List view icon
in the top right corner of the page to open a list view. Click the Grid view icon to open a grid view.Click the desired sorting order at the top right of the page:
- Last published (newest first)
- Last published (oldest first)
- Dashboard name (A-Z)
- Dashboard name (Z-A)
Click the desired dashboard to view its details.
Click the More menu
in the bottom right of the relevant dashboard to:Add this dashboard to a folder
See recent snapshots
Delete the dashboard
Click the Star icon
to add the relevant dashboard to Favorites
Analyses
The Analyses page displays available analyses. See Create an Analysis in Insight Builder to Visualize Your ACC Data.
Click the List view icon
in the top right corner of the page to open a list view. Click the Grid view icon to open a grid view.Click the desired sorting order at the top right of the page:
- Last published (newest first)
- Last published (oldest first)
- Dashboard name (A-Z)
- Dashboard name (Z-A)
Click the More menu
in the bottom right of the relevant analysis to:- Add this analysis to a folder
- Delete the analysis
Click the Star icon
to add the relevant dashboard to Favorites
Datasets
The Datasets page lists available data sets with details such as a data set owner and last modification date.
Click the More menu
next to the desired dataset to:Create an analysis
Add the dataset to a folder
Use the dataset in a new dataset
