Supported File Types in Photos

Supported File Types File Size Limits
Images PNG, JPG 20 MB
Videos MP4, OGG, WEBM 1 GB or 2-minute limit when captured directly in Autodesk® Build
Note:
  • There is no limit to the number of photos that can live in the project photo gallery.
  • 1000 photos can be bulk uploaded at a time to your photo gallery.
  • For 360 photos to enable the 360 viewer in Autodesk Construction Cloud, the metatags ProjectionType=equirectangular and UsePanoramaViewer=true must be embedded in the file.

Video Playback on Web

Because each browser has its own set of video formats that it supports, not all uploaded videos can be played in the Photos tool on the web.

  • Update your browser to have the most up-to-date support for different video formats

  • Convert your video to a format that the desired browser supports

    • Refer to the following tables for the browser that you are using
    • You can use online tools such as Free Convert
    • Tip: MP4 H.264 is the most supported and recommended format
  • Switch browsers

    • Refer to the following tables to find a browser that supports your video file

  3. Find the column for your video's file type and see if or since which version of that browser supports playback for your video. You may need extensions or other requirements on your browser. We suggest further discussing any setup needed with your internal IT team.
