Building Pad Tool Properties Dialog

A Building Pad is a closed geometric shape representing the building pad constraints.

Right-click the Building Pad tool in the Grading Object Tool palette and select Properties to access the Building Pad Tool Properties dialog. Use this dialog to define the default constraints for the building pad tool.

Property Definitions

Image

Displays the icon representing the grading object. Right-click the icon and choose Select Image to change the icon for both Light and Dark themes.

Name

Specifies the display name of the grading object. Edit this field when creating different tool versions for your workflow.

Description

Specifies the tooltip when the cursor is placed on the tool in the Grading Object Tool palette. Edit this field when creating different tool versions for your workflow.

Elevation

Enables elevation constraint properties for the zone.

Min Elevation

Specifies a minimum elevation optimization constraint for the building pad.

Max Elevation

Specifies a maximum elevation optimization constraint for the building pad.

Level Grading with Pad

Forces the grading along the building pad to attempt to be level with the pad elevation.

Depth of Material

Represents the combined depth of the concrete pad, stone, and other base materials that should not be considered with the cut and fill data.

Drain Away

Specifies that drainage is directed away from the building pad. Enable the Hydrology Direction Vectors in the Visualization Toolbar to view how the drainage is applied to the pad.
