Pond Properties Panel
Select a pond in the Grading Objects Browser or in the Visualization Display to open this properties panel. Use this dialog to modify the constraints for individual ponds.
Property Definitions
Name
Specifies the display name of the pond.
Pond Type
Specifies the kind of pond, either Dry Pond or Wet Pond. Pond type affects the optimization constraint properties available.
Min Storage Volume
Specifies the minimum storage volume constraint for the pond.
Max Storage Depth
Specifies a maximum storage depth constraint for the pond. This depth is measured from the freeboard depth to a dry pond bottom, or the permanent pool of a wet pond.
Allow Boundary Change
Specifies if Grading Optimization adjusts the existing pond boundaries. Otherwise, the pond boundaries will be affected by optimization.
Safety Bench
Accounts for a safety bench in the pond grading and enables safety bench constraint properties.
BERM
Berm Width
Specifies the interior to exterior width of the raised berm.
Freeboard
Specifies the freeboard depth from the top of berm.
Inside Slope (H:1V)
Specifies the slope ratio from the berm (or Safety Bench if applied) to the next slope.
SAFETY BENCH
Safety Bench Depth
Specifies where the safety bench will begin. It is measured from the freeboard depth.
Safety Bench Width
Specifies the width of the safety bench.
Safety Bench Slope
Specifies the slope percentage of the safety bench from the starting depth to the extent of its width.
PERMANENT POOL (WET PONDS ONLY)
Permanent Water Depth
Specifies the required water depth for the permanent pool. It is the depth of water below the freeboard and storage volume.
Aquatic Bench Width
Specifies the width of the aquatic bench in the permanent pool.
Aquatic Bench Slope (H:1V)
Specifies the slope ratio of the aquatic bench from the safety bench to the extent of its width.
Color
Specifies the color of the representative point, line segments, or areas of the grading object in the visualization display.
Active
Enables the grading object to be included in the optimization. When deselected, it is ignored.
Visible
Enables the grading object to be seen in the visualization display. When deselected, it is hidden but still active.
