Output Tool Names

Please note, this FAQ applies to machines with Heidenhain and Siemens controllers.

To output tool names in the posted code, follow the steps below:

1. Start TruePath.

2. In the ribbon bar, go to Manage > Resources > Machines.

   

3. Select your machine.

4. Hold the Shift key and click Edit.

   

5. Click Controller.

6. Click the Virtual Controller Model tab.

7. Enable Post Tool Names.

   

8. Click OK.

9. Click Close to close the Resource Manager.

Next time you create a project, TruePath will post the tool names instead of the tool numbers.
