Who Should Install This Extension?
The IFC 4.3 Extension for Autodesk® Civil 3D® is available within the Autodesk Desktop App or from manage.autodesk.com.
You can apply this extension to the following Autodesk products running on all supported operating systems and languages. Be sure to install the correct extension for your software.

General Installation Information
As you prepare to install this extension, keep the following in mind:
Back Up Custom Files
It's recommended that you back up all custom CUIX, MNR and MNL files in Civil 3D before you apply this extension.
Administrative Privileges
To apply this extension, you must have privileges to install and uninstall products. During installation or uninstallation, you may be prompted for the original installation media or a network image.
Network Deployment
Administrators can deploy this extension over a network using the Deployment Wizard.
Close the Application
It's required that you close Autodesk Civil 3D 2023 before proceeding with the installation of this extension.
Reboot
After you install, it is recommended to reboot your system even if not prompted.
About Your Product
After you install, product information is displayed in the About dialog box.
Installation Instructions
Apply This Extension to a Stand-Alone Installation
Follow these instructions to install this extension on a single computer.
Download the extension and save it to any folder.
Close all running Autodesk applications.
Find the folder where you saved the extension and double-click the executable (.exe) file.
Apply This Extension Through a Local Network
Follow these instructions to install this extension on multiple computers using your local network.
Download this extension and save it to any shared folder on your local network.
Close all running Autodesk applications.
Find the shared folder where you saved the extension and double-click the executable (.exe) file.
Apply This Extension to a Network Administrative Image
The following method of distributing IFC 4.3 Extension for Autodesk® Civil 3D® applies only to administrative images created with the Autodesk Civil 3D 2023 Network Installation wizard. After you complete this procedure, any new deployments of Autodesk Civil 3D 2023 will have the extension applied to them automatically. For information on creating and updating a Network Administrative Image, please see Installation for administrators.
To apply the IFC 4.3 Extension for Autodesk® Civil 3D® extension to an existing Autodesk Civil 3D 2023 administrative image:
Download this extension and save it to any shared folder on your local network.
Close all running Autodesk applications.
On the workstation where you initially created the Autodesk Civil 3D 2023 deployment, open the Tools folder and double-click the Create & Modify a deployment shortcut icon.
Follow the wizard to the product configuration screen and expand the Include additional software accordion.
In the Additional Software section, click Add and browse to the location where you saved the extension.
Collapse the Include additional software accordion and click the Create button.
Now any new deployments of Autodesk Civil 3D 2023 will have the extension applied to them automatically.
Uninstall This Extension
This extension can be uninstalled through the Program and Features section of the Microsoft® Windows® Control Panel.
Follow these instructions to uninstall this extension on a single computer.
Insert the product media (for example, the Autodesk Civil 3D installation media) or make sure the installation source files are available.
In Windows Control Panel > Program and Features, click on IFC 4.3 Extension for Autodesk® Civil 3D® and choose the Uninstall option.
