About Graph Security and Trusted Folders
A folder must be designated by you as trusted before you can run graphs from that folder. In this topic, a “trusted” folder means that its location is included in the Manage Folders list in the Dynamo Player application.
If an untrusted folder has been selected in Dynamo Player, graphs from that folder will be blocked, and the Player will display a warning about the untrusted folder. To minimize risk to your system security, it’s important to only run graphs from sources that you know and trust.
To Grant Trust to a Folder
- When an untrusted folder is selected in Dynamo Player, click “Yes, I trust it” in the warning that displays near the top of the application, or
- In Dynamo Player, next to Choose Folder, click
(Add Folder). In the Manage Folders dialog, click + (Add Folder). Once trust is granted, graphs stored in that folder are no longer blocked, and you’ll be able to run them normally.
Important: Adding a folder to your Manage Folders list is not a guarantee by Autodesk that graphs stored in those locations are safe or trustworthy, either now or in the future. You are responsible for the security of your systems and any content that you use with Dynamo and Dynamo Player. Autodesk recommends that you only add graph-storing folders through Manage Folders if you can verify their source and are confident that they pose no security risks.
To Remove a Folder
- When an untrusted folder is selected in Dynamo Player, click “No, remove it” in the warning that displays near the top of the application, or
- In the Create Study dialog, next to Choose Folder, click Add Folder. Select the folder you want to remove, and click – (Remove Selected). At the confirmation message, click Yes to confirm.
