Fixed Issues in IFC 4.3 Extension for Autodesk Civil 3D 2025

This document lists fixed issues in the 2025 release of the IFC 4.3 Extension for Autodesk Civil 3D.

Alignments
Improved workflows by aggregating sample lines for alignments.
Improved the handling of alignments with decreasing stationing when importing.
Improved the nesting of alignment sample lines.
Area and Volume
Improved the handling of negative values reported by Civil 3D on volume surfaces.
Fixed an issue with metric area and volume units for square and cubic meters.
Improved the handling of negative quantity volumes.
Improved support for hollow objects.
Export
Improved the naming of exported nested alignments.
Improved the handling of invalid mapping Export As values.
Fixed a stability issue by disabling the export of the IsEditable Parameter on some objects.
Improved export functionality to comply with validate.buildingSMART.org.
Fixed issue in which solids did not export due to the API reporting zero area.
Resolved export CER reports due to unexpected data in some drawings.
Improved the handling of dependent objects when exporting selected entities.
Miscellaneous
Improved layer rules checks.
Improved the handling of corridors when using the IFCInfraExportSelected command.
Improved compliance with validateBuildingSMART.

Profiles
Alignment names for nested profiles now display in the format Alignment Name – Profile Name.
By default, alignment profiles are now nested under the alignment.
Improved support for hollow regions on profiles.
