Learn about the included sample files to help understand the IFC 4.3 Extension for Civil 3D.
This documentation is supported by a sample model. While simple in nature, the model effectively demonstrates various features of the Civil 3D infrastructure IFC export functionality.

The model approximates a footpath situated along a former rail corridor. It is georeferenced to EPSG:7854, Map Grid of Australia Zone 54.
The example folder contains two subfolders: one configured for IFC4.3 and the other for IFC4 Reference View. Partial configuration files located within the IFC4 folder will enforce the export of an earlier schema release when the model is saved to that folder. Additional folders are provided to illustrate other aspects of mapping to IFC classes. By selecting the destination folder, specific aspects of the export become evident. Text-based README files within some folders describe the particular aspect of the export being demonstrated.
