Move tools, tool palettes, or tool packages from one catalog location to another by dragging them between two windows. Moving an item removes it from its original location, while copying an item retains the original.
- Open two windows; use Ctrl+N to open the second window.
- In the first window, display the catalog item that you want to move or copy.
- In the second window, open the target catalog, category, tool palette, or tool package to send the item to (only tools can be sent to palettes and packages).
- In the first window, move the pointer over the icon associated with the item to be moved, so that the pointer image changes to an eyedropper (
).
