This section describes the axis of rotation pivot methods that are supported in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
NoteSuperelevation axis of rotation calculations are performed only on stations that are in the superelevation curve group. This includes any alignment stations that are between the End Normal Shoulder/End Normal Crown and Begin Normal Shoulder/Begin Normal Crown critical stations.
Each topic contains the following illustrations:
- A series of cross sections that illustrate the assembly behavior at each critical station. The
icon indicates pivot points for each case. - A typical superelevation view for each case. The colored and dashed lines in the superelevation view correspond to the dots in the cross sections.
