Configuring a Vault Database for Use with AutoCAD Civil 3D

Configure a Vault database so that it will be available in the Prospector tree.

NoteYou must perform this procedure on every Vault database that you want to access from AutoCAD Civil 3D. This procedure is necessary only if you are using Autodesk Vault Workgroup, Autodesk Vault Collaboration, or Autodesk Vault Professional.

To configure a Vault database for use with AutoCAD Civil 3D

  1. Launch Autodesk Vault Server.
    NoteYou must log in as a user with the Administrator role.
  2. In Autodesk Vault Server widow, in the left pane, expand the Vaults collection.
  3. Locate the vault database you want to access from the AutoCAD Civil 3D Prospector tree. Right-click the database. Click Import Configuration.
  4. In the Open Configuration File dialog box, navigate to <Vault server install location>\Program Files\Autodesk\ADMS [vault server type]\Custom Configuration\Civil3D_Vault_Configuration.cfg. Click Open.
