Creating a Cant View

Create a cant view to graphically display cant data on an alignment.

NoteBefore you create a cant view, you must calculate cant for the alignment. For more information, see Calculating Cant Data.

To create a cant view

  1. In the drawing, select an alignment that has cant data calculated.
  2. Click Rail Alignment tabModify panelCant drop-downCreate Cant View.
  3. In the Create Cant View Dialog Box, specify the following parameters:
    • Cant view name
    • Alignment
    • Description (optional)
    • Layer
    • Station range
    • Style
  4. Click OK.
  5. In the drawing, click a point for the cant view origin.
