Project and Drawing Items in the Prospector Tree

The Master View of the Prospector tree contains four collections related to drawings and projects: Open Drawings, Projects, Data Shortcuts, and Drawing Templates.

Note

To view all the collections in the Prospector tree, select Master View from the list at the top of the Prospector tab.

  • : Updates project data that is shown in Prospector. It is available when you are logged into Vault and you have selected the top-level Projects node, an individual project node, or a vaulted drawing. For more information, see Updating Project Data.
  • Open Drawings. Lists open project and non-project drawings.
  • Projects. Lists the Vault projects available to you after you have logged in to a Vault server and a Vault database.
    NoteThe Projects collection is available in Prospector only if you have installed either Autodesk Vault Workgroup, Autodesk Vault Collaboration, or Autodesk Vault Professional. If you have installed Autodesk Vault Basic, the Vault interface is not integrated with AutoCAD Civil 3D and is identical to Autodesk Vault Basic for AutoCAD.     NoteA Vault database must be configured before it can be accessed in the Prospector tree. For more information, see Configuring a Vault Database for Use with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Data Shortcuts. Lists the data shortcuts projects available to you.
  • Drawing Templates. Lists the available drawing templates. For more information, see Working with Drawing Templates.
