Adding Survey Query Results to a Surface

Build a surface using the survey points and figures that are included in a survey query.

The survey points and figures in a survey query can be added to a surface definition in either of the following ways:

• As static points and figures. The survey points and figures are inserted into the drawing, and are added to the surface definition as point groups and breaklines.
• As a dynamic reference to the survey database. The surface definition references the survey points and figures in the survey database. If changes are made to the survey database, the surface is automatically updated.
