Adding Codes to a Subassembly

To add a code to a subassembly created from a polyline

1. In the drawing, select the subassembly, then right-click it and click Add Code.
2. Enter the code and press Enter.
   Note

   The code you enter must be an existing code, or, if it is a new code, you must make sure that it gets added to the codes file (C3DStockSubassemblyScripts.codes). For more information, see Adding a New Code to the AutoCAD Civil 3D Stock Subassembliesstock subassemblies:adding a new code.

3. Select a point, link, or shape on the subassembly.
4. To see the code, in Toolspace, on the Prospector tab, right-click the subassembly and select Properties. Click the Codes tab. The code added is displayed in the Name column under the point, link, or shape collections.

To remove codes from a subassembly created from a polyline

1. In the drawing, select the subassembly from which you want to remove the code.
2. Click Subassembly tabModify Subassembly panelRemove Code.At the Command prompt, enter RemoveSubassemblyCodes.
3. Click the point, link, or shape on the subassembly.

   The code is removed from the subassembly.
