Breaking Apart an Alignment Point of Intersection

1. Select the alignment.

   A grip is displayed at the point of intersection.

   
2. Hover the cursor over the grip.
3. From the grip menu, select Break Apart PI.
   
4. Specify the distance that you want to break apart the PI.

The tangents are broken from the point of intersection, which now displays a grip.

1. Click the alignment. Click Alignment tabModify panelGeometry Editor.
2. On the Alignment Layout Tools toolbar, click Break-Apart PI.
3. In the drawing window, click a point near the PI that you want to break apart.
4. Specify the distance that you want to break apart the PI.
