Moving Points

Use grips to move a point in a drawing.

This procedure explains how to move both the point marker and point label. To move the point label independent of the point marker, see Moving Point Label Components.

To move a point in a drawing

1. Click the point to be moved.
2. Hover the cursor over the grip. Click Move Point.
3. Move the point to the new location.
   Note

   To return the label to its original position, hover the cursor over the grip. Click Reset Label Location.

   To return the label to its original position and rotation, hover the cursor over the grip. Click Reset Label.

When a drawing point is locked, you cannot use any command that modifies its XYZ values, including the AutoCAD Erase command.
