Viewing Relationships Between Project Objects and Drawings

You can use the Vault client to find drawings that reference a project objects, as well as which objects are consumed in a given drawing.

Using the Vault client, you can view relationships for either project objects or project drawings.

NoteDo not delete, modify, or move .c3dData files, and do not modify the project structure in Vault. The Vault project may become corrupted if the files are moved.

Project Objects

  1. In the Vault client tree, expand the ProjectCivil 3D Data[object] collection that contains the object you want to view.
  2. In the Vault client workspace, select the appropriate [object].c3dData file.
  3. Use the Uses and Where Used tabs to examine the object's relationship to project drawings.

Project Drawings

  1. In the Vault client tree, expand the Project folder that contains the drawing you want to view.
  2. In the Vault client workspace, select the appropriate drawing.
  3. Use the Uses and Where Used tabs to examine the drawing's relationship to project objects and drawings.
