Measuring a Rail Alignment Along Chords

To measure a rail alignment using chord length

1. Click Alignment tabModify panelAlignment Properties drop-downAlignment Properties.At the Command prompt, enter EditAlignmentProperties.
2. In the Alignment Properties dialog box, click the Station Control tab.
3. Under Station Information, select Measure Curves Along Chords.
   NoteThe default unit chord length value can be changed on the Ambient Settings Tab (Drawing Settings Dialog Box), in the Degree of Curvature node. For more information, see Specifying Ambient Settings.
