Exporting an Event List to a Text File

When you export an event list to a file, all the events logged during the current session are written to the file. Events that were logged during the session, but that are not displayed in the event list due to filtering, are also written to the file. To export an event list to a text file

1. Click View tabPalettes panelEvent Viewer.
2. In the Event Viewer, on the Action menu, click Export List.
3. In the Save As dialog box, do the following:
   • Browse to the folder where you want to save the exported file.
   • Enter a file name.
   • Specify a file type, which determines the format the text file is saved in.
   • Click Save.
