Copying An Event to the Clipboard

Copy a single event from the Event Viewer event list to the Windows clipboard for use in another application.

To copy an event to the clipboard

  1. Click View tabPalettes panelEvent Viewer.
  2. In the Event Viewer, select the event from the event list that you want to copy to the clipboard.
  3. In the Event Viewer, on the Action menu, click Properties.
  4. In the Event Properties dialog box, click Copy To Clipboard.

    The information about the event is copied to the Windows clipboard, and can be pasted into another application.
