This release includes new and updated features, performance enhancements, and fixes for Autodesk® Civil 3D® 2027. It is strongly recommended that you read this entire document before installing. Because Autodesk® Civil 3D® includes Autodesk® AutoCAD® and Autodesk® AutoCAD® Map 3D, it is recommended that you also review those release notes:

Installation

• It is recommended that you first install all Microsoft® Windows® updates prior to installing Autodesk Civil 3D 2027.
• Please close all applications prior to installing Autodesk Civil 3D 2027.
• Autodesk Civil 3D 2027 can be installed side-by-side with prior versions of Autodesk Civil 3D.
• If your team works in a multi-seat stand-alone environment, you can repeat this basic installation process for each computer seat. Alternatively, an administrator can create a deployment.

Scheduled Updates

Admins now have greater control over when product updates are installed for their teams. Plan and automate updates to suit your organization’s schedule, so you can offer earlier updates for testing and then roll out later updates for production users. This helps reduce manual effort and provides more predictable update timing across the organization. For more information, see Create Update Policies.

Prior Version Interoperability and DWG Format

• Autodesk Civil 3D 2027 uses the AutoCAD 2018 drawing format.
• Drawings saved in Autodesk Civil 3D 2027 can be opened in Autodesk Civil 3D versions 2019 through 2023, and AutoCAD Civil 3D 2018.

Product Help

Product Help is available online and is not installed with the product by default. If you do not have continuous access to the Internet and you want to install Help locally, you can go to https://www.autodesk.com/civil3d-helpdownload-2027-enu to download and install the offline Help. An Internet connection is required for downloading the Help for offline access.
