Materials

Materials let you search, browse, and view material details in the Content Catalog — then insert or export them to and from Revit.

It's a simpler way to organize, access, and apply Revit materials in your projects. You'll work faster, stay accurate, and collaborate better across disciplines.

  • Manage Revit materials in a Cloud solution.
  • Use standardized materials from one central catalog instead of rebuilding them from scratch.
  • Speed up your workflow. Managing materials in Revit gets easier, so modeling becomes faster and more consistent.
  • Make smarter decisions by using material data to inform design choices, sustainability analysis, and construction planning.

How to upload Materials in Content Catalog

  1. Open the Upload Content page from the sidebar.
  2. Select Export (Revit Project). Content Catalog will scan the file for acceptable content.
  3. When the list of Exportable Content appears, select the material(s) from the list. This will export the material from Revit into the Content Catalog upload queue.
  4. Select the appropriate collection(s) for the material(s) selected.
  5. Select Upload to finalize your material in Content Catalog.
