How can I contact Autodesk Support?
You can reach us through the following communication channels:
Why component visibility in exchange does not match the view representation settings?
When you create an exchange for a component that has multiple view representations, Autodesk Construction Cloud will always display the default view representation, regardless of the applied view settings.
Does exchange support material mapping?
Currently, exchange elements only retain the color of the elements. Data Exchange does not support material mapping and render styles.
Why is my interface design view list empty?
If the Inventor document only has a primary design view, then interface views will be blank. Currently, the connector does not support the primary design view.
Why can’t I see the link to the exchange after I restored it?
If you delete an exchange, you can restore it in Autodesk Docs. However, the link with the Inventor Document was removed.
Why isn’t my exchange viewable not displayed?
Generating a viewable for a large exchange may take a longer time.
Why is the list of target folders not displayed?
When you create an exchange for the first time, you will notice that the Save to panel that displays the list of target folders is taking a long time to synchronize and load the folders from Autodesk Construction Cloud.
Which design views and model state do I need to create an exchange?
Exchanges require a Design view in Inventor to be included in the list of Views. By default, the Inventor document has one Model state and one design view named [Default]. User can create several design views and model states according to requirements. For creating an exchange, the user can select the required design view from the drop-down, and the Active model state will be automatically considered for Data Exchange creation.
Note: Primary design view is not supported in exchange creation.
