01. Why am I unable to see the Autodesk Docs project?
Contact your account administrator and verify that Navisworks Connector for Autodesk Docs is enabled. You must also have member access to the project and folders in Autodesk Docs.
02. Why am I facing Navisworks Connector installation issue?
If you are facing an installation issue, check if a connector is already installed on your computer. If yes, uninstall it.
03. Why cannot I open my ".dx" file after modifying the data inside it?
A ".dx" file contains data specifically for Data Exchange software. If this data is altered incorrectly, it can cause Navisworks to malfunction, prevent the ".dx" file from opening, or result in other problems. To avoid these issues, it is recommended not to modify the data within a ".dx" file.
04. Why am I seeing a "Cannot Resolve External Reference" error after clearing the Navisworks Connector cache?
Clearing the Navisworks Connector cache, located in "C:\Users%Username%\AppData\Roaming\Navisworks-Connector", deletes important reference "nwc and dx" files used by your ".nwf" file. This removal causes the "Cannot Resolve External Reference" error when you try to reopen the file.
05. Why do I see a “Cannot Resolve External Reference” error after clearing the Navisworks Connector cache?
This error appears if you manually delete the Navisworks Connector cache at: C:\Users%Username%\AppData\Roaming\Navisworks-Connector\ and then try to reopen a saved .nwf file. The error occurs because the associated .nwc and .dx reference files are missing. To avoid this issue, avoid deleting the cache manually unless necessary.

View Log Files
Log files contain information about operations that have taken place on the server and can be used to diagnose various problems. You can view log files to diagnose the failures or errors while using the connector and share them with the support team for further analysis. To locate the log files for specific versions, you can either navigate to the following directories or type the corresponding path in the Windows search bar and press Enter.
