System Requirements
Overview
Desktop Connector has the following system requirements:
- A Windows 10 or 11 version supported by Microsoft
- Installs will be blocked if you are on versions earlier than Windows 10 Version 1709
Important: Autodesk no longer provides updates for Windows 8.1 or earlier. For more information see the Microsoft Support article that addresses this topic.
- Check that you have free disk space of at least three times the data set size during the upload process as Desktop Connector can temporarily consume this amount using temporary disk space. This volume is mostly used for calculating and gathering the related files.
- Windows on Arm-based PCs are not supported at this time
Operating system support
- Version 15.x of Desktop Connector is supported on Windows 10 and is not supported on Windows 11
- Version 16.x and 17.x of Desktop Connector are supported on both Windows 10 and 11
