There are a variety of ways that you can look up pattern numbers (also referred to as CIDs) on fabrication parts.
For example, you may need to search by
- CID number
- all or part of the text description or keyword associated with a part
- part manufacturer or owner
The following table lists and describes the search methods that can be used in the Autodesk Fabrication products.

Click on a fabrication part in a drawing, then right-click
 CADmep Properties to display the Item Properties dialog. The CID field is located in the middle of this dialog.

| CADmep, ESTmep, and CAMduct | In the
Item Folders view, use the Item Search Toolbar to search by CID number, description, or alias. NOTE: In ESTmep and CAMduct, the Item Search Toolbar can be shown or hidden by clicking View
Item Search Toolbar.
