Find Pattern Numbers (CIDs)

There are a variety of ways that you can look up pattern numbers (also referred to as CIDs) on fabrication parts.

For example, you may need to search by

  • CID number
  • all or part of the text description or keyword associated with a part
  • part manufacturer or owner

The following table lists and describes the search methods that can be used in the Autodesk Fabrication products.

Autodesk Fabrication Product Search Method
CADmep Use the Search\Filter for Object command.
  Click on a fabrication part in a drawing, then right-click CADmep Properties to display the Item Properties dialog. The CID field is located in the middle of this dialog.
CADmep, ESTmep, and CAMduct In the Item Folders view, use the Item Search Toolbar to search by CID number, description, or alias. NOTE: In ESTmep and CAMduct, the Item Search Toolbar can be shown or hidden by clicking View Item Search Toolbar.
