In the CADmep, ESTmep, and CAMduct, you can search item folders using the Item Search toolbar. This toolbar is located at the top of the Item Folders view. Search by Alias, CID, or Description.

To search for items:
- Display the Item Folders view.

- In the Item Search Toolbar located at the top of the Item Folders view, click the Search drop-down menu to select one of the following categories to search on:
- Alias
- CID
- Description
Note: In ESTmep and CAMduct, you can toggle the display of the Item Search toolbar on or off by clicking View

- In the blank search text field, enter the text to search on. For example, select Description, and then type in 'hanger' to display all items that contain 'hanger' in the Description.
Wildcard characters (*) are not required to search. Simply type in all or some of the text to search on.
- Click the Search Now button
to begin the search.
Items that include the specified search text in their Item Name are highlighted in the right pane of the Item Folders view.
