Import SLDPRT Solidworks Configuration (PartMaker)

Use this menu option to import a SolidWorks .sldprt file containing multiple configurations. When PartMaker has imported the model, it is displayed in the Solids window, and a model item is added to the Job Explorer.

Select this menu option, then select the file you want to import.

In the Import SolidWorks Configuration dialog, enter the name of the configuration you want to import in the Configuration to Import field, or select Import default Configuration.

When you have imported the solid model into PartMaker, you may want to extract machinable edges and other geometric data from the model or use it for performing surface machining.

Note: You do not need to have SolidWorks installed on your machine to use this option.
