Use the Approach and Escape dialog to specify approach and/or escape points for a toolpath.
To display the dialog, either:
- Click to select a profile curve in the CAM Face window, then select Part Features > Approach, Escape.
- Double-click a profile curve in the CAM Face window.
The following settings are available:
Approach Point
- Define Point — Select this option to include an approach point in the toolpath.
- X — Enter the X coordinate of the approach point.
- Y — Enter the Y coordinate of the approach point.
- Find Closest Circle Center — Click to assign the coordinates of the closest circle center to the approach point( X,Y) coordinates.
Escape Point
- Define Point — Select this option if you want PartMaker to include an escape point in the toolpath.
- X — Enter the X coordinate of the escape point.
- Y — Enter the Y coordinate of the escape point.
- Find Closest Circle Center — Click to assign the coordinates of the closest circle center to the escape ( X,Y) coordinates.
OK — Click to save any changes and close the dialog.
Cancel — Click to close the dialog without saving any changes.
