To show or hide surfaces

To show all surfaces

Select Home tab > Display panel > Show > Show All Surfaces to ensure surfaces are not hidden.
Select Home tab > Display panel > Shade Surfaces to shade the surfaces in the Graphics window.

To hide all surfaces

Select Home tab > Display panel > Hide > Hide All Surfaces to hide surfaces in the Graphics window.
Deselect Home tab > Display panel > Shade Surfaces to show surfaces as wireframes in the Graphics window.

To shade or unshade a single surface

Use the View tab > Appearance panel > Shade > Shade Selected and Unshade Selected to show or hide only the selected surface.
