Media Export (What's New in 2024)

Sony SStP and the EasyDCP plug-in are no longer supported, Open Clips now display the Shot Name, and Sequence Publish presets update.

Indicates a feature suggested and voted up by users on the Flame Feedback portal.

Deprecated Codec and Feature

The following features provided by third-parties are now deprecated because no arm64 executables are available:

  • The Sony SStP codec
  • The EasyDCP plug-in

Open Clips Now Display the Shot Name

When you do a Shot Publish with Open Clips, the export now correctly uses the shot names to name the exported Open Clips. This change ensures that when you import in MediaHub an Open Clip created in Flame Family 2024, the name of the imported clip matches the name displayed in MediaHub.

Sequence Publish

The Sequence Publish export presets now use the Frame Index box > Use Start Frame instead of the Use Preference option used in previous releases.

This change impacts the following Sequence Publish presets:

  • EDL
    • EDL Publish (10-bit DPX and WAVE).xml
    • EDL Publish (16-bit DPX and WAVE) ADX ACES.xml
    • EDL Publish (16-bit DPX and WAVE).xml
    • EDL Publish (8-bit DPX and WAVE).xml
    • EDL Publish for Source Grading (16-bit fp OpenEXR and WAVE).xml
    • EDL Publish for Source Grading (16-bit fp OpenEXR Multi-Channel (PIZ) and WAVE).xml

    • Source Media Publish (16-bit DPX and WAVE) ADX ACES.xml
    • Source Media Publish (16-bit DPX and WAVE).xml

This change does not impact the File Sequence export mode since these presets use Frame Index box > Use Timecode as in previous releases.
