UI Update
As part of the Batch Paint update, some Batch Paint features have been updated, others replaced, and some removed. Here is a short list of the changes.
- The overall organization of the Batch Paint menu is revised, to give more room to the Brush controls, and to provide room for the Axis menu. The Axis menu, available in the Edit mode, contains positional controls for the strokes and a new Tracker.

Regen image no longer on pen up. Strokes in the image are now updated while editing a numeric field. Disable the Regen button (in the Node Prefs menu) when the update takes too much time and prevent you from working properly.

- The Hide button and Hide column within the list. Use instead the
in the Edit list to hide and reveal strokes.
- The Clear and Current Frame / Sequence are replaced with the .

The swipe area, at the bottom of the screen, used to toggle between the Paint and Edit menu, has been reduced in size. The area now covers only the area under the Paint and Edit lists.
Brush Presets
The Brush Presets are now presented in the form of individual buttons rather than in a drop-down button.

The buttons are now located below the Mode and Blending sections. Only five buttons are presented at once. A button can be used to toggle the display between the presets 1 to 5 or 6 to 10.
Set default presets. You can save a default Brush Presets and define it as the default for all newly created Batch Paint nodes.

To create a default set:
- Set the default using . This option creates the default from the current Brush Presets.
To restore the original Brush Presets, use
Consolidate
The Consolidate option changes:

You can now set the Consolidate default in .

A Brush Set now preserves the state of Consolidate. This also means that the state of the Consolidate option is now kept in a Batch Paint setup.
Fixed Drag with Consolidate. If Consolidate is enabled, the Drag brush now drags as expected.
Consolidate bypassed. The Consolidate option is bypassed in the Clone, Rec Clone, and Reveal modes. None of the strokes made using these modes are consolidated.
Strokes
Easily edit strokes priority. You can now edit the strokes priority using buttons in the Edit menu. You can still drag strokes in the Edit menu to reorganize the priority of strokes, but the visual feedback has been improved.

Edit multiple brush strokes. You can now select and edit multiple strokes in the Edit list, with a yellow highlight identifying the primary selection. If
Edit Box is active, only the primary selection is highlighted with the Edit Box.
- The Brush, Paint Mode, Wipe, and Matte sections display the values from the primary stroke.
- Operations such as Duplicate and Delete strokes are applied to all the selected strokes.
- Changes to Brush, Paint Mode, Wipe, and Matte settings are only applied to the selected strokes that support the changes.
Edit stroke Start and End. You can now edit the Start and End channels with fields in
.

Edit strokes in the UI. You can now use the user interface change the Position, Scaling, and Rotation of the primary stroke (the stroke with the Edit Box). The buttons are in the new Axis tab and make it easier to set and reset animation keyframes.

Track Strokes
You can now track strokes using the Tracker tool in the Axis tab.

- In the Edit list, select the strokes that will follow the track.
- Click Axis to display the Tracker tool.
- From the drop-down menu, select the layer to track. This can be the Front of the clip (LayerFront), or any other source attached to the Paint node.
- Click Enter Tracker to enter the Tracker module.
- Track the shot. Exit the Tracker module when done.
Back in the Paint node, the track is applied to the strokes.
After the track, use Offset X and Offset Y to offset the strokes without affecting the position information gathered from the Tracker.
Track by absolute or relative position. Before entering the Tracker, you can select how the tracking data is applied to the selected strokes.
- Absolute: The Edit Box and selected strokes are moved to the position of the pixel used in the Tracker's Reference box.
- Relative: The Shift information from the Tracker is applied to the Edit Box and the selected strokes.
Clear Strokes
In Edit mode, the Delete drop-down box easily deletes the selected strokes at a specific frame, or deletes the selected strokes in their entirety.

Reveal Strokes
You can now easily identify the Reveal strokes associated with a layer (the strokes that reveal that layer).

To select the Reveal strokes associated with a layer:
- Select the layer.
- Click Select Reveals.
The Edit tab is selected, with the Reveal strokes that were made with the selected layer.
The Select Strokes button has been renamed to Select Reveals and is now enabled only when there is at least one Reveal stroke associated to the selected source.
Source Rotation
The Source Rotation, used with brushes like Clone or Reveal, now behaves like the Canvas Rotation.
- The value is a float instead of an integer number.
- The increment is done at the one-tenth instead of the unit.
- Use the Paint Rotate Source keyboard shortcut to rotate the source directly from the viewport. It is assigned to Ctrl+Alt+click in all user profiles.
Add Still
The new Add Still button creates a new single frame source from the image shown in the selected viewport.

A new clip is created in the Batch Schematic and is connected to the Paint node with a new Source node.
Additional Changes
Keyboard shortcuts in the Paint Mode menu. The keyboard shortcuts that you can use to select a Paint mode are now displayed in the Paint Mode drop-down menu.
Stroke range in the timebar. The current range is now shown inside the Timebar when the Paint menu is selected.

Keyframe indicators and context menus are now displayed in controls that have an animation channel.
