Each person working on a system can have a user. A user profile can store the following preferences:
- User interface settings
- Pen and tablet preferences
- Keyboard shortcuts
Create an Application User
- On the Startup screen, under User Profile, click New.
- Enter a name, and optionally add a nickname, an option name that can be used as a token in places such as render node names.
- Set Directory to the location where the user preference files are stored. This can be local, or on the Remote Host selected from the Startup screen.
- Select a User Profile from:
- Smoke (FCP 7): based on Final Cut Pro 7 keyboard shortcuts. When selected, the application starts in the Timeline tab.
- Flame: when selected, the application starts in the Tools tab.
- Smoke Classic: when selected, the application starts in the Timeline tab.
- (Optional) Enable Lustre User Create to create a matching user in Lustre.
- Set Creation Mode, either using the factory defaults, or copying them from another user.
- Click Create.
Edit or Delete an Application User
The Name, Nickname, Directory, and Profile can all be edited from the Application menu > Project and User Settings > User Edit.
Edit or Delete an Application User
- Do one of the following:
- At start-up, select a user.
- During a session, from the Application menu, select Project and User Settings. From the Project and User Settings, select a user.
- Click Manage and modify the settings in the Edit User Profile dialogue or delete the user.
