Keyboard Shortcut Editor (What's New in 2024.1)

The redesigned Editor makes it easier to create and edit keyboard shortcuts.

(A) Keyboard Shortcut Catalogue  (B) Search Field (C)  Keyboard Shortcut Manager  (D) Active Keyboard

Here are some of the changes made to the Keyboard Shortcut Editor:

  • To reduce clutter, the Keyboard Shortcuts catalogue no longer displays those buttons without an assigned keyboard shortcut. But you can still assign any button a keyboard shortcut.
  • The keyboard shortcuts catalogue is now sorted by Categories. You can always sort by another column by clicking the column's heading.
  • Use the new Search Results Only button to only display the keyboard shortcuts that match the search criteria.
  • The Keyboard Shortcuts editor is now in a standard window that you can click and drag.

  • The Search text field turns red when no keyboard shortcut description matches the search.

Some buttons have been removed, and the behaviour of other buttons has changed.

  • Deleted: Reset, Reload, Reload All, Save, and Save All.
  • Renamed: Reset All is now named Revert All to Factory.
  • Changed: The Close button now changes into a Save button when a change has been made in the editor.
  • New: Cancel now closes the window without saving your changes.
