Flame Family Known Issues (2025.2)

AVIO
FLME-66801: When monitoring an NDI stream from the application using third-party application or hardware, switching project prevents NDI monitoring.

Workaround: In the third party application or hardware, refresh the connection by de-selecting and reselecting Flame as the NDI source.
Action Rendering
FLME-67569: The Crop widget is shifted by one pixel in the viewport.
FLME-67568: Lens Flare presets do not render properly in Action scenes set to a Log colour space.
Action Schematic
FLME-64404: Matchbox and Lightbox nodes do not have their name properly shown in the Schematic view when they are close to a wide monitor's edges.
Action Tracking
FLME-62708: Motion vectors tracking does not recognize the vectors located after the reference frame when external motion vectors data is used with the Forward/Backward cache option.
Animation Editor
FLME-66088: After a node is duplicated, its channels aren't selected in the Animation hierarchy, even if the node is selected.

Workaround: Deselect the node and then select it again.
Batch Media Import Export
FLME-66752: If you render Multi-Channel content with a Write File node using the versioning and Add to Workspace options, then the re-imported clip references the media files instead of the Open Clip.

Workaround: Manually import the Open Clip to the Workspace.
Cloud Deployment
FLME-62020: A slight offset might be seen when navigating the application's user interface remotely using HP Anyware and bridging the Wacom tablet over USB when Input Devices / Tablet Margins setting is set to any value other than 0%.

Workaround: There is no Tablet Margins support in HP Anyware, so you must set it to 0% in Flame.

1. Start Flame.

2. Go to Preferences > Input Devices and set Tablet Margins to 0%.

3. Exit Flame.

4. Start Flame.

5. In the HP Anyware client, open Connection > USB Devices...

6. In USB Devices, disconnect the Wacom tablet and then reconnect it.

7. Go back to Flame and select your Project. You should no longer see any cursor offset while using the Wacom tablet.

As a rule of thumb, only connect the Wacom tablet once you see the Flame startup screen.
Licensing
FLME-65687: The Autodesk Licensing Service may not start correctly following a system reboot. (macOS)

Workaround: Enter the following command line in a Konsole/Terminal:

launchctl load /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.autodesk.AdskLicensingService.plist
Machine Learning
FLME-67772: On a GPU that supports a setup's ML inference capacity, if the setup is too large or complex, a downstream Action node can fail with "TRTKernel/TensorRT" errors. (Rocky Linux)
Media Export
FLME-66007: Content with an Alpha channel cannot be exported as RGBA when using the Export Between Marks option.
FLME-64313: When working in a 10-bit project, exporting Dolby Vision HDR content in Foreground might show corruption in the exported media files.

Workaround: Either use Background Export or set the Project Bit Depth option to another value than 10-bit (8-bit or 32-bit fp can be used).
FLME-62180: If you are exporting a sequence with unrendered Timeline FXs and Export Between Marks is enabled, the application renders the effects before exporting.

Workaround: Create a shorter version of the clip before exporting so you do not need to use the Export Between Marks option.
Media Panel
FLME-62325: The selection highlight border misses some pixels after a project conversion.
Media Publish
FLME-63330: When the "Export Between Marks" option is enabled, the content does not export as expected during a Sequence Publish.

Workaround: Disable Export Between Marks option prior performing a Sequence Publish.
Paint
FLME-67438: Batch Paint: The brush associated to Brush Presets 1 is not saved in the Default Brush Presets.
FLME-66981: Batch Paint: Baseline keyframes cannot be set using the calculator on controls in the Axis tab unless the values have been changed.

Workaround: Use the Set Keyframe (Current Value) option in the numeric field's context menu, or its corresponding keyboard shortcut.
Start Frame
FLME-66929: The Motion Blur effect inside Action is not working on frames numbered higher than 1048576.
Third-Party Updates
FLME-67773: Dragging an object to the bottom of the screen to delete it may fail if the gesture is too quick. (Wacom Intuos pro PTH-660)

Workaround: Drag clips slowly.
Tools
FLME-67076: Text: Some fonts cause some text characters to be displayed with holes in them.
FLME-65786: Using Motion Blur on Particles and Timewarp may cause the application to freeze. (Apple silicon M1)
FLME-64019: Resize: Multiple Undo/Redo events are registered when a modification is made to the Destination Resolution.
FLME-63627: Resize: Resetting a node does not reset the settings to their value set in the Preferences.
FLME-63371: Burn-In Metadata: The 'Roman' part of a font name is not visible in the user interface after the font is selected.
Utilities
FLME-65759: The Colour Sampler leaves a feedback trail if the sampled value exceeds the window's character limit.
Viewing Multiview
FLME-64081: When large images are initially added to a Batch Group, and the viewport preferences are set to 'Home by Default' and 'Fit Allows Upscale,' the images are not displayed properly.

Workaround: Select the viewport showing the image and press the Home button.
