Surface Blending Modes

Use the Blend Mode option to select how the front and matte clips or the front and back clips are combined. For example, use Screen for blending a fire or a lightning bolt shot on black that you want to composite with a different background.

You can select between a number of Flame or Photoshop blend modes by making a selection in the Blend Type drop-down. Some of the blend modes are similar (or identical) between the different types, but are repeated with the mode names you are used to working with.
